Job summary

Live Oak Pharmacy in Plano, TX is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a full-time role. You will enter prescriptions, process refills, and support the pharmacist with daily operations.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in PioneerRx, have strong customer service and communication skills, and be comfortable handling insurance questions and third-party rejections. Active TX registration is required.

Qualifications

• Active TX Pharmacy Technician registration with the State Board.
• Hands-on experience with prescription data entry and third-party claim rejections.
• Strong customer service and phone skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions accurately in PioneerRx.
• Adjudicate claims and work third-party rejections; DUR, refill-too-soon, prior authorization, NDC and quantity issues, and plan limitations.
• Follow up with prescriber offices on authorizations, clarifications, and PA paperwork.
• Assist patients at the counter and on the phone with refills, status updates, and insurance questions.
• Fill, label, and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
• Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and returns.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Support daily workflow under the supervision of the pharmacist.
