Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a part-time Pharmacy Technician for day shift in Connecticut. You will follow prescribed procedures, assist in processing prescriptions to ensure prompt, accurate, and safe filling, and prepare various medications under supervision.

Responsibilities include efficient patient service, data entry in the pharmacy system, proper cash handling, and daily inventory tracking. Per diem hours apply during operating hours.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Current CT registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
Previous experience strongly preferred.
National PTCB certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required within 1 year of date of hire.

Responsibilities

Provides efficient service to patient/customers in person or on telephone.
Utilizes pharmacy computer system and is responsible for inputting, retrieving and analyzing data in that system.
Prepares prescriptions under the supervision of registered pharmacist. Prepares and prioritizes prescriptions according to need. Responsible for proper cash handling and cash control as well as completing day-to-day retail transactions in a friendly and efficient manner.
Tracks inventory and assists with ordering on a daily basis.
