Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician in Georgia to support non-clinical and clinical pharmacy operations. You will assist pharmacists with patient registration, data entry, prescription processing, and health services where allowed by law.

You will also manage workflow, training, and performance of the pharmacy team. Under pharmacist supervision, you will handle insurance coordination, recordkeeping, and compliance with policies and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification (where allowed)
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification (where allowed).
• Handle patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision and support vaccine/health service offerings where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work to technicians to ensure efficient workflow under company policies and regulatory guidelines
• Prepare and file reports and records as required by company and government agencies
• Manage daily pharmacy workflow and inventory controls, ensuring compliance and security of equipment and records
• Communicate prescription errors to the pharmacist and support the insurance claims process to resolve issues
