Job summary

Walgreens in Savannah, GA is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist.

You will assist with prescription data entry, patient registration, immunization services where allowed, and ensure efficient workflow, accuracy, and a positive patient experience. This role includes training and supervising technicians, while maintaining compliance with company policies and state laws.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications.
• Count, verify, and dispense medications where allowed by law; conduct patient calls under pharmacist supervision.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work to pharmacy staff within company policies.
• Maintain inventory, records, and security safeguards; ensure timely task completion and workflow efficiency.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians; ensure licensure and compliance.
