Qualifications

• Ability to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions.
• Strong communication with Pharmacy Department personnel.

Responsibilities

• In the absence of the Retail Pharmacy Manager, manages all retail pharmacy operations for designated site and hourly staff.
• Performs professional duties and responsibilities for processing prescriptions to meet objectives and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Ensures prompt and courteous customer service by all pharmacy personnel and serves as role model.
• Oversees profitability by managing COGs, supply expenses, and staff overtime.
• Implements and adheres to policies and responds to communications in a timely manner.
• Adheres to pharmacy laws; may serve as Pharmacist-in-charge for licensing agreements.
• Manages inventory, stock levels, and reorder points to meet patient needs.
• Supports training of pharmacy personnel and assigned students; may witness counseling.
• Ensures documentation of immunizations and program activities in EMR and pharmacy system.
• Engages pharmacy technicians and service reps in initiatives and projects.
• Maintains and grows prescription volume at the site.
• Attends meetings as designated.
