Job summary
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a licensed pharmacist for our Pearland, TX clinics within the Houston area. Join a nationally recognized health system providing coordinated care across 40+ locations.
You will supervise in-clinic pharmacy operations, prepare and distribute medications, monitor orders in EPIC EHR, collaborate with nursing and physicians, and train staff. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered.
Qualifications
- Graduate from School of Pharmacy.
- Proficiency in EPIC EHR required.
- Proficiency with Automated Dispensing Cabinet.
- Experience in hospital/clinic pharmacy setting preferred.
- Texas license as Registered Pharmacist required.
- Ability to communicate with Pharmacy Department staff and physicians.
- Demonstrated professional appearance and demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Supervise in-clinic pharmacy distribution per laws and policies.
- Prepare and distribute medications to clinics on time.
- Monitor lab values and auditing for medication orders.
- Review medication orders in EPIC EHR with knowledge of values.
- Collaborate with courier services for distribution.
- Maintain compliance for ASC Pharmacies.
- Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients.
- Train pharmacy staff and assigned students.
- Manage charge capture for clinic orders.
- Order and stock pharmaceuticals and devices efficiently.
- Collaborate with nursing staff for patient care.
- Liaise with prescribing physicians to ensure safe therapy.
