Fifth Third Bank in Cornelius, NC is seeking a Retail Personal Banker I. Selected candidates enter a 4-8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service, culminating in a certification for the Retail Personal Banker job family.

The role uses a consultative sales process to profile customers, assess financial needs, and propose Retail products. Travel for training and field work is required as part of the program, with emphasis on cross-selling and servicing

Qualifications

College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or combination of education and experience.
Experience in the financial industry preferred.
Ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers.
Ability to analyze credit and financial information.
Professional appearance and verbal/written communication.
S.A.F.E. Act registration required via NMLS.

Responsibilities

Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify needs.
Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for reviews.
Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
Collaborate with Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial).
Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals; contribute to revenue growth.
