Job summary

The Personal Banker I is a Financial Center position focused on using the consultative sales process to proactively identify and meet the financial needs of customers or prospects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or work experience with transferable skills.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new consumer households and cross-sell to existing customers.
• Must demonstrate understanding of basic math for credit and financial analysis.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in appearance and communication.
• Knowledge of Retail policies and procedures; use good judgment in decisions.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to identify customer needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Coordinate with partner teams to provide holistic financial solutions.
• Meet production goals and support risk management and ethics.
