Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Oakwood, Ohio is seeking a Retail Personal Banker I after a 4–8 week onboarding program. The role focuses on consultative sales to identify customer financial needs and acquire new households or deepen relationships, with rotations in operations and Sales & Service.

Responsibilities include cross-selling, partnering with mortgage and business teams, and handling teller duties within a supportive platform staff environment. Base salary varies by market.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferable skills.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire customers and cross-sell.
• Must understand advanced math to analyze credit and financial information.
• Professional appearance and verbal/written communication.
• Knowledge of Retail policies and good judgment in decision making.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at employment through NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales to build a customer profile and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products and recommend solutions.
• Reach out to customers via CAMP and other tools to set appointments.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and conduct outside sales activities as directed.
• Establish relationships with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment Partners.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and drive revenue growth.
• Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Protect customer information and maintain confidentiality.
• Follow Code of Business Conduct and related policies.
• Participate in consumer loan and bankcard process from application to closing.
• Assist in opening/closing of Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
• Stay updated on procedures to mitigate fraud and risk.
