Job summary

Fifth Third Bank, Canton, MI, seeks candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I program. Selected individuals will complete a 4- to 8-week onboarding with rotations in operations and Sales & Service, culminating in a certification to become a Personal Banker I focused on consultative sales and relationship building.

The role includes processing teller transactions and partnering with Mortgage/Small Business/Investment teams to serve customers.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or, combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers.

Responsibilities

• Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend appropriate solutions using our value proposition.
• Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners and refer customers for timely, holistic financial solutions.
