Job summary

Fifth Third Bank seeks candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I program. Selected individuals will join a 9-week onboarding with rotations in operations and Sales & Service, culminating in a certification to perform within the Personal Banker family.

The role uses consultative sales to identify and meet customer financial needs, with emphasis on acquiring new households and deepening relationships in Financial Centers or Bank Marts.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire customers.
• Understand advanced math for credit and financial analysis.
• Maintain professional appearance and communication; adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales and needs assessment to profile customers and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Build relationships with partners and refer customers to provide holistic solutions.
• Meet or exceed customer experience and production goals, growing revenue.
• Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Follow Bank policies, protect confidentiality, and adhere to risk guidelines.
