Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is hiring a Customer Service Specialist at our Overland Park store. You will help wholesale and retail customers, determine needs, answer questions about products, and recommend solutions to ensure satisfaction and drive store sales.

You will resolve concerns, stay current on product features, and maintain store standards. Responsibilities include assisting customers in person and by phone, processing transactions, stocking displays, and supporting delivery operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have a Meets Expectations rating on the latest performance appraisal
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses for current position

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting products and services
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with store policies
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Maintain accurate work order files and inventory records
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications
• Stock shelves and set up displays
• Load/unload delivery trucks and assist with deliveries as needed
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
• Comply with inventory control procedures
