Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic leader to act as Manager on Duty in our Onalaska store. You will prioritize tasks, coach Associates, and ensure daily operations align with company guidelines to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

You will coordinate with management to maintain coverage, enforce policies, and promote safety. A background in retail with leadership exposure is preferred, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience with at least 6 months in a lead role.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures.
• Proven problem solving skills; ability to coach and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality.
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure.
• Ensures store team performs tasks according to store plan; prioritizes as needed.
• Addresses customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates.
• Communicates priorities and progress updates with management and staff.
• Provides coaching, recognition, and feedback to Associates.
• Partners with Management on training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensures adherence to labor laws and company policies.
• Promotes safety and maintains a safe environment.
