Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Operations Associate to enhance the in-store customer experience by performing core operations before opening. This early-morning role involves teamwork to prepare the sales floor, unload shipments, price merchandise, and manage backroom standards.

The role emphasizes customer service, efficient pricing/signing, and active participation in omnichannel initiatives such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship from Store. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail experience.
• Proficient in customer service and problem solving.
• Comfortable with fast-paced store operations.
• Knowledge of omnichannel processes (BOPIS, Ship from Store, returns).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and service requests.
• Execute pricing and signing across merchandise quickly and accurately.
• Replenish and restock to ensure sizes/styles are available.
• Receive and unload merchandise and organize the backroom.
• Maintain backroom standards for safety and cleanliness.
• Support omnichannel initiatives and merchandise receiving.
