Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Operations Associate in a fast-paced retail environment. This early morning role supports pre-opening store functions, stocking, pricing, and customer service, working closely with a team to ensure a smooth opening.

You will handle merchandise receiving, backroom organization, and omnichannel tasks to enhance the shopper experience. The role emphasizes strong teamwork, problem solving, and a willingness to learn as you help execute merchandising plans and store operations

Qualifications

1–2 years of retail experience.
Ability to navigate a fast-paced store environment.
Willingness to work early morning shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers with questions.
Execute price changes and signing across merchandise.
Replenish and restock stock to ensure product availability.
Receive and unload shipments with team members.
Maintain clean, organized backroom standards.
Support omnichannel initiatives like Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship from Store.
Help implement merchandising plans and drive in-store execution.
Participate in training and learning activities.
