Job summary

AES Corporation, including AES Clean Energy, is seeking a Manager, Retail Operations to lead daily operations of our retail electricity portfolio in Texas. This role ensures reliable service, proper market participation, regulatory compliance, settlements, and coordination with utilities and market operators across ERCOT and PJM landscapes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in retail energy load management, deep knowledge of wholesale and retail power markets, strong stakeholder relationships,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of retail experience in ERCOT and/or PJM load management.
• Strong understanding of wholesale and retail power markets, including load, scheduling, metering, settlements, and market transactions.
• Experience with EDI, meter data, and energy platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of new load contracts and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate customer enrollment, load-serving obligations, and scheduling requirements.
• Resolve operational issues with utility and ISO/RTO personnel.
• Participate in utility/ISO/RTO meetings and industry discussions.
• Maintain relationships with utility accounts and market operators.
• Oversee daily operations of the retail electricity portfolio across relevant territories.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures to improve accuracy and reliability.
