Job summary

Kennebec Savings Bank is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to lead daily retail banking operations, training, and system administration across branches in Maine.

You will partner with the Director of Retail Operations to strengthen processes, risk controls, and customer service while developing education programs and monitoring performance. This role requires a high school diploma and 5 years in retail banking; Fiserv experience is a plus, and MS Office proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail banking, including teller and account opening or branch operations.
• Experience with the Fiserv system is desirable.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word required.

Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing development of the Retail Operations Specialists by establishing performance goals, providing coaching and mentoring.
• Review reports, data, and analyses prepared by the Retail Operations Specialists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform essential daily operational functions in the absence of the Retail Operations Specialists.
• Serve as the primary backup to the Director of Retail Operations and oversee day‑to‑day operations during absences.
• Lead departmental initiatives, risk assessments, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Deliver or coordinate training programs for Retail staff and ensure records are maintained.
