Peoples Bank is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to elevate operational consistency across the Retail Business Line and reduce recurring issues. You will resolve challenges, collaborate with business leaders, and embed operational excellence in day-to-day practices.

The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, cross-functional work with Fraud and Compliance, and maintaining risk registers while supporting regional leadership with clear communications and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent branch banking work experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in related banking field.
• Phone skills and ability to troubleshoot problems over the phone with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines.
• Proven ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve operational exceptions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coach others and be coached.

Responsabilités

• Solve problems proactively and make decisions in partnership with stakeholders.
• Identify operational challenges and propose solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate risk and monitor progress.
• Understand business processes, control structures, and risk dynamics; educate impacted teams.
• Partner with Fraud and Compliance to identify risks and strengthen protections.
• Maintain a risk register with high-priority threats and mitigations.
• Coordinate and conduct monthly/quarterly Operations meetings for Universal Banker Support Specialist.
• Reduce escalations through clear policies, procedures, and training.
• Communicate remediation status and policy enhancements to regional leaders.
• Collaborate to eliminate duplication and ensure regional consistency.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
