Job summary

Fleet Farm in DeForest, WI is seeking an Operations Manager to lead Front End, Convenience Store/Gas, Facilities, Scheduling, Pricing, Inventory, and Loss Prevention. You will coach a diverse team, develop individual growth plans, and ensure staffing aligns with budgets to maximize customer service and store performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 5 years of management in a large retailer.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
5 years of management experience within a Big Box retailer preferred.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and build relationships in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to direct and motivate a diverse population including full- and part-time team members.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Train, coach, and mentor your team to develop Best in Class execution and customer service.
Oversee development and execution of development plans for direct and indirect reports.
Ensure staffing according to budget and maximize for customer needs; hire, train, and manage performance with HR support.
Monitor wage and expense control programs and address variances with leadership.
Oversee store cash management policies, procedures, and practices; ensure compliance.
Lead implementation and administration of Fleet Rewards Visa, Store Credit Card, and Loyalty Program.
Provide guidance for customer issues and oversee shrink reduction efforts with Loss Prevention.
