Job summary

J.Jill is seeking a Senior Director of Retail Operations & Experience to lead the Store Operations function across the field and home office. The role delivers strategic direction, scalable processes, and performance analytics to elevate customer and associate experiences.

The ideal candidate has broad Retail Operations leadership experience, deep P&L acumen, and a track record of driving transformation in a multi-store environment.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in Retail Operations or Store Operations.
• Demonstrated ability to build or evolve operating models, processes, SOPs, or organizational structures.
• Broad expertise spanning field execution, communications, training, workload planning, labor, inventory, and store systems.
• Strong P&L and business acumen with the ability to translate data into action.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive Retail Operations strategy to support growth and customer experience.
• Establish consistent operating standards and practices across the store fleet.
• Lead Store Operations team with clear ownership, structure, and accountability.
• Translate strategic priorities into operating plans, roadmaps, and field execution strategies.
• Collaborate with SVP Retail, Regional Directors, and cross-functional leaders to align home office and field.
• Oversee clear field communications, calendars, policies, and directives.
• Create reporting, scorecards, and analytics to monitor performance and drive decisions.
• Apply P&L discipline to staffing, inventory, and payroll decisions.
• Develop scalable SOPs, manuals, and training materials.
