• Retail or other customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to deliver the best shopping experience and checkout flow.
• Communicate with team and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed sales and customer service goals.
• Support training of new team members and cross-train high-potential staff.
• Assist in department scheduling to boost engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide team on food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead tasks for ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display.
• Promote Meijer culture and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
• Operate a register and cash handling when needed; use powered equipment as applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories and lead capacity assignments when required.
