Responsibilities

• Provide excellent checkout and shopping experience for customers.
• Assign daily tasks and communicate with team members.
• Mentor and coach teammates to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Assist training of new team members and cross-train high potential staff.
• Support department scheduling to improve engagement, service, sales and profitability.
• Monitor product rotation and dating to ensure freshness.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and product displays as applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate registers and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment when required.
• Participate in period-end inventories as needed.
• May act as Lead in other departments.
