Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new team members and cross-train high potential talent.
• Assist leadership with department schedules to improve engagement and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness with proper rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team on food safety and safe operation practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays as applicable.
• Foster a Meijer culture that values diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to aid goal achievement.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
