Responsibilities

• Engaging peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers including an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicating with team members and assigning daily work tasks.
• Mentoring and coaching team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training to boost productivity.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement and store profitability.
• Ensure freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide team in food safety and safe operation practices.
• Lead in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display as applicable.
• Foster Meijer culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and cash handling when needed; operate powered equipment as applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories and other duties as assigned.
