Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree with agronomy/plant science/business management specialization may be considered.
• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in agribusiness, plant science, petroleum, livestock/pet care, or related industry.
• Minimum of one (1) year in a leadership role; prior Southern States work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Retail Store Manager to execute a strategic retail operations plan aligning service, sales, and budgets.
• Manage daily operations for multiple departments; support front-end/POS and handle customer inquiries.
• Develop a highly effective team; coach staff, plan schedules, and lead daily team meetings.
• Engage with customers to make sales and take orders; promote the SSC brand locally.
• Oversee staffing, hiring, performance reviews, and collaboration with leadership on budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with SSC policies and applicable regulations; monitor safety and operations.
• Maintain inventory integrity and coordinate with corporate to optimize pricing and profits.
