Job summary

Peoples Bank is seeking a Retail Bank Operations Support Specialist to enhance operational consistency and drive continuous improvement across the Retail Business Line. You will collaborate with business leaders and partner with Fraud and Compliance teams to strengthen client protections.

The role requires 3–5 years in banking, strong communication, and travel across the footprint. A valid driver's license and the ability to navigate policy changes are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in related banking field.
• Phone skills to troubleshoot and communicate with employees over the phone.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Previous supervisory or management experience (1–3 years) or substantial experience as an individual contributor.
• Willingness to travel across footprint; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Problem solving, proactive decision making, and collaboration to ensure deliverables meet policy and procedures.
• Identify operational challenges and propose solutions for resolution.
• Work cross-functionally to mitigate risk and monitor progress and outcomes.
• Understand business processes, control structures, and risk dynamics; educate affected staff.
• Partner with Fraud and Compliance teams to identify risks and strengthen protections.
• Maintain a risk register with high-priority threats and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate and conduct monthly/quarterly Operations Support Specialist meetings.
• Reduce inbound escalations with clear policies, procedures, and effective training.
• Maintain communication with regional leaders about issues, remediation, and policy updates.
• Collaborate to eliminate duplication across regions; perform special projects as assigned.
