Peoples Bank is seeking a Retail Operations Coach to drive operational excellence across the Retail Business Line in Akron, OH. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, policy adherence, and effective training to reduce escalations.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in banking, strong communication, and a track record of cross‑functional teamwork. Occasional travel and a valid driver’s license are required for this field‑based position.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in related banking field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve operational exceptions.
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Previous supervisory or management experience (1–3 years) or substantial experience in an individual contributor role.
• Significant travel required (including overnight stays) on a consistent basis across the footprint.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Solve problems, make proactive decisions, and collaborate with partners to meet deliverables.
• Identify operational challenges and propose solutions for resolution.
• Develop cross‑functional strategies to mitigate risk and monitor progress.
• Understand business processes, control structures, and risk dynamics; educate impacted teams.
• Partner with Fraud and Compliance to identify emerging risks and strengthen protections.
• Maintain a risk register with high‑priority threats and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate and conduct monthly/quarterly Operations meetings for Universal Banker Support Specialists.
• Reduce inbound escalations through clear policies, procedures, and training.
• Keep regional leaders informed about issues, remediation status, and policy enhancements.
• Collaborate across regions to eliminate duplication and ensure consistency.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
