Job summary

Ace Hardware is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Ohio to oversee daily retail operations, ensure excellent customer service, and execute responsibilities delegated by the Store Manager. The role emphasizes leadership, inventory control, training, and delivering sales targets.

You will open/close the store, manage inventory, supervise staff, and work to maintain a high standard of customer experience and store policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of overall store policies, procedures and goals
• Knowledge of management responsibilities and ability to “fill in” as needed for the Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store
• Safety and security, as assigned
• Oversee inventory order placement
• Oversee inventory receiving and store stocking
• Oversee the tasks assigned and delegated to the store team
• Training of store personnel
• Demonstrate Helpful customer service on the sales floor
• Resolve customer claims and complaints in a timely, courteous manner
• Attend and assist with monthly store meetings
• Achieve sales and productivity goals and maintain gross margin
