The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Newton, MA is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution across truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotional execution, and a customer-ready store environment through strong workload planning and inventory management. Responsibilities include leading SOP adherence, managing Store-In-Stock routines, overseeing planograms, and coaching team members

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in retail.
• Experience in store operations and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOP adherence and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of company policies and standards and hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes, ensuring timely unloading and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization, coordinating staffing with store leadership.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution to ensure sets are completed on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and initial product presentation to company expectations.
• Support a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment including backroom and floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and efficient stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment for accurate picking, packing, and shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation and adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures to reduce shrink.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
