Job summary

Michaels Stores in Newton, MA is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards. You will ensure pricing accuracy, timely promotional execution, and a customer-ready store environment through effective workload planning and team leadership.

The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership, the ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings, and hands-on supervision of stock

• 3+ years of retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in adherence to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.
• Ensure execution of company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes for timely unloading and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership to align staffing.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution, ensuring sets are completed on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards for product placement.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across the floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation and inventory adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures to reduce shrink and ensure reporting.
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and ongoing development.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
