Job summary

The Merchandise Manager at Michaels Cedar Knolls, NJ drives merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards. You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store through strong workload planning and inventory management.

Lead truck execution, stock replenishment, and in-stock optimization while upholding store policies, training, and asset protection.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead SOP adherence and Company programs.
• Strong workload planning and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Lead truck execution processes, ensuring unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization, aligning staffing with business needs.
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution, ensuring merchandising sets are completed on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment including backroom and sales floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant promotional signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time; maintain pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with documentation and inventory accuracy.
• Manage store damages procedures to reduce shrink and ensure reporting.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink through awareness and safe operations.
• Other duties as assigned
