The Michaels Companies in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and store operations, including truck processing, inventories, planogram execution, and visual standards.

You will lead SOP adherence, price changes, Ship from Store, RTVs, and staffing with Store leadership to ensure a customer-ready environment and strong in-stock performance. This role requires 3+ years of leadership and willingness to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience
• Ability to train, coach, and develop team members
• Strong workload planning and inventory management

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and merchandise flow to the sales floor
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership
• Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock levels and replenishment
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards
• Support clean, organized backroom and sales floor recovery
• Manage inventory control, pricing changes, and promotional signage
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, RTVs and ASN receiving processes
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building
• Partner with Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink
