Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Merchandise Manager to lead merchandising and store operations across assigned departments. You will drive truck processing, planogram execution, and inventory routines to ensure pricing accuracy, promotions, and a customer-ready store environment.

You will also supervise a team, provide MOD coverage, and partner with leadership to optimize staffing, in-stock levels, and visual standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Lead truck execution processes, ensuring timely unloading, accurate sorting, and efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization, partnering with store leadership to align staffing and execution to business needs.
• Oversee Planogram execution, ensuring merchandising sets are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards, including initial product placement and presentation to company expectations.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building across assigned departments.
