Job summary

The Michael's Companies is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution across store duties. You will supervise truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to ensure pricing accuracy, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store.

You will oversee stock flow, in-stock optimization, and damage management while coaching team members through onboarding and skill-building.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOP adherence and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, sustaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unload and sort merchandise for the sales floor.
• Plan workloads and prioritize daily tasks with store leadership to match business needs.
• Maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to improve in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution to complete merchandising sets on time and correctly.
• Uphold visual merchandising standards and product presentation to company expectations.
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom and floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, ensure product integrity and accurate stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and customer-focused placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment with accurate picking, packing and shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation and adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction; coach team through onboarding and skills development.
• Partner to maintain asset protection practices and reduce shrink.
