Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive shopping experiences for the community.

You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while upholding company standards and procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient store operations, with responsibilities spanning opening/closing, asset protection, and daily merchandising tasks.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and perform related physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help with opening and closing procedures.
• Protect and secure company assets, including cash.
• Maintain store areas to company standards, including stockroom and sales floor.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Ensure cleanliness and presentability of all areas of the store.
• Provide friendly, professional interactions with customers and associates.
• Support Store Manager with freight flow, merchandising, and monthly planning.
