Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a team of associates and delivering positive experiences for customers and the community.

You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while upholding store standards and safety policies. Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, securing assets, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a friendly, efficient shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Maintain store areas to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process freight and merchandise needs to meet productivity standards.
• Plan and merchandise items and maintain sales-friendly displays.
