Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering great customer experiences. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while ensuring store standards and safety procedures.

You will assist with all store functions, open/close, protect assets, and maintain clean, well-stocked areas. This role requires strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Keep areas clean, neat, and presentable; perform restocking.
• Ensure positive, safe interactions with customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with duties related to freight flow and merchandising.
• Process receipt/return of DSD merchandise; manage freight flow.
• Stock merchandise, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and merchandised.
