Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in Winston-Salem to lead a team in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked store. The role focuses on achieving sales and margin goals and driving store efficiencies with occasional rotation through Specialty and Operations for development.

The role requires flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and to travel for meetings or training as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment.
• 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment.
• 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes within and beyond assigned areas of responsibility.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Anticipating customer flow and work demand and redirecting efforts and schedules to ensure proper coverage when and where needed.
• Planning for spikes in sales and ensuring the store has the in-stock position to support the demand.
• Conducting safety walks, monitoring use of store power equipment, and coaching associates around safe work practices.
• Leads a team of associates to deliver exceptional service and maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store. Achieves sales and margin goals while driving operational efficiencies and maximizing customer satisfaction.
• Collaborates with store leadership, District Manager, and Area support staff to meet service, sales, and operational objectives. May rotate through Specialty and Operations assignments for cross-training and development.
