Job Summary:

The Salon Director contributes to Sun Tan City’s success by leading a team to create and maintain an exceptional client experience. Responsibilities include managing salon operations, supervising staff, making staffing decisions, ensuring client satisfaction, monitoring staff performance, handling maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, and managing safety and security. The role models Sun Tan City principles to deliver excellent service.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Develop and coach employees to provide excellent client experiences
• Address client concerns promptly
• Maintain a calm, positive demeanor during high volume periods
• Ensure team accountability for quality service
• Drive performance metrics through action plans and company programs
• Promote company culture, values, and mission
• Delegate responsibilities for smooth operations
• Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and organization
• Manage staffing levels for development and operational needs
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
• Use operational tools to achieve excellence (labor, reports, cash, inventory)
• Analyze financial reports to address trends and issues
• Conduct performance assessments and set goals
• Manage ongoing sales

Work Schedule:

The role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, including varying mid and/or closing shifts based on business needs.

Experience & Skills:

• College education preferred but not required
• Management and/or sales experience required
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Effective in a fast-paced environment
• Strong client service, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
• Team building and delegation abilities

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to bend, lift, and perform cleaning functions
