Proper Food in San Francisco is seeking a Manager-in-Training to learn store operations, lead a team of 6–12 under the Regional Manager, handle hiring, training and day-to-day activities across a territory.

You will manage operations, liaise between store and kitchen, and contribute to staffing, inventory, catering and customer experience with flexible hours, including openings and closings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail/restaurant leadership; lead a team of 5+ people as an Assistant manager or similar.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Food Manager Certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Staffing, Scheduling & Personnel management: Hire, train & develop staff; manage scheduling and payroll; address performance issues.
• Operations: Ensure procedures are executed efficiently; ensure equipment functionality and store upkeep.
• Customer Experience: Deliver an exceptional customer experience; monitor feedback via multiple channels.
• Inventory: Oversee daily & weekly pars; supervise supply ordering.
• Catering & menu implementation: Assist Catering Manager and support catering program; maintain collateral and signage.
• Team building & Leadership: Maintain a positive, high-performance culture; hands-on management.
