Job summary

Proper Food is seeking a Multi-Unit Manager to oversee 2-3 stores in the San Francisco area. You will hire and train a 6–12 person team, streamline operations, and coordinate between store and kitchen to ensure top performance across daily duties.

You’ll drive staffing, inventory, and catering initiatives while maintaining a high standard of customer service and store presentation. This role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced environment and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail/restaurant management experience with a 5+ person team.
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
• Food Manager Certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, scheduling and personnel management: hire, train, develop staff; manage scheduling and payroll; address performance issues.
• Operations: ensure procedures are followed; maintain equipment and store upkeep.
• Customer experience: deliver exceptional service; monitor feedback via in-store, email and social channels.
• Inventory: set daily and weekly pars; supervise supply orders.
• Catering and menu implementation: support Catering Manager; update collateral, labels, menus and signage.
• Team building and leadership: sustain a positive, high-performance culture; lead by example.
