Job summary

Whitestone is seeking an accomplished Leasing Representative to support the growth of its retail real estate portfolio across the Houston area. This market-facing role emphasizes building relationships with tenants, operators, brokers, and local businesses to identify high-quality leasing opportunities.

The successful candidate will develop leasing plans, evaluate prospects, negotiate LOIs and leases, coordinate buildouts, and partner with property management to maximize occupancy and center

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Communications, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in retail leasing, commercial real estate, brokerage, tenant representation, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with restaurant users, local operators, franchise groups, regional retailers, and/or national tenants preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent, visible presence at assigned properties and within the Houston-area business community.
• Build trusted relationships with tenants, local business owners, brokers, and prospective retailers.
• Create and execute leasing plans to strengthen asset value and tenant mix.
• Negotiate letters of intent and leases; coordinate with construction, management, legal, and finance teams.
• Track market trends and occupancy metrics.
