Job summary

Carter's is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Michigan to lead the team on the sales floor, welcome customers, and promote our baby and children’s apparel. You will help drive KPIs, coach staff, and partner with the Store Manager on recruiting, training and merchandising execution.

The role requires prior retail management experience and the ability to lift 40 pounds, stand long hours, and work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with product styles, features and benefits.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and development of store team.
• Plan, track, analyze, and report completion of tasks and financial results utilizing company tools.
• Partner with Store Manager to plan and execute merchandising standards and product placement.
