Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate in Texas to provide customer-first service, operate the register, stock merchandise, and uphold store standards. You will lead assistant staff in the manager’s absence while ensuring profitability and asset protection.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling payments, stocking shelves, following planograms, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. High school diploma preferred with supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Basic math for sales, discounts and percentages.
• Experience with cash register functions and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with superior service leadership.
• Operate POS: ring up purchases, take payments, bag items.
• Stock merchandise, rotate stock, and build displays per planograms.
• Clean store areas, handle trash, and maintain restroom and stockroom.
• Open/close store duties under Store Manager directions.
• Support in implementation of planograms and merchandising.
• Step into leadership role in Manager’s absence as needed.
