Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Houston is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

In this lead role, you will support staff, ensure planograms are followed, and help open and close the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read planograms and follow merchandising guides.
• Experience with cash handling and POS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, and tidy restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
