Job summary

The Collective SoHo in NYC is seeking a hands-on manager to lead by example in a busy SoHo retail space. Location: 435 Broadway, SoHo, NYC. Part-time weekday and weekend shifts with a starting time immediately. Pay is $18 hourly plus 5% commission on every sale to drive performance and guest experience.

Responsibilities include leading on the floor, opening/closing the store, coaching staff, and coordinating promotions while keeping daily operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales is required.
• Must be able to supervise and coach staff.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable with ability to work independently.
• Availability for weekday and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales on the floor and deliver welcoming, attentive customer service.
• Open and close the store, including checkout setup and end-of-day reporting.
• Guide sales associates and maintain clear service expectations.
• Communicate with vendors and help resolve day-to-day questions.
• Maintain organized displays and ensure store security procedures are followed.
• Support in-store promotions and customer outreach during quieter periods.
• Share sales updates, customer feedback, and operational issues with the owner.
