Job summary

Walmart in Paw Paw, MI is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems across the store facilities. The role requires hands-on experience with commercial HVAC and refrigeration, and the ability to lift heavy equipment while upholding safety standards.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience, EPA certification for refrigerant handling, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders and document repair activities.
• Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines per Walmart safety policy.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights frequently.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
