Job summary

Walmart in Plainwell, MI is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to maintain and repair our refrigeration HVAC systems across Walmart stores. You’ll leverage commercial HVAC/R skills with hand and power tools, ensuring uptime and safety.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license and a High School Diploma. Preferred: HVAC/R certification and blueprint reading experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC/R certification preferred (vocational/technical).
• Experience reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety policy.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights frequently.
