Job summary

Kroger is seeking an HR professional to drive sourcing, recruiting and onboarding for stores, while supporting investigations, training and HR processes. You will partner with store leadership to improve engagement and retention, manage data integrity and respond to associate inquiries.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years in HR, strong communication, and knowledge of employment laws. The role offers field travel and opportunities for growth within a national retailer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years HR or retail HR experience.
• Knowledge of employment laws and compliance.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with external recruiting sites and databases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews, manage offers, and pre-screening checks.
• Drive sourcing, onboarding for store positions and training.
• Assist HR in investigations and employee relations.
• Lead store leadership on HR processes and retention.
• Counsel management on leaves, policies and performance.
• Coordinate associate training and orientation programs.
• Maintain HR data integrity and respond to inquiries.
• Process wages, terminations, status changes and transfers.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and safety standards.
• Travel to store locations to support HR initiatives.
