Job summary

Belk, Inc. is seeking an Human Resources Lead in Myrtle Beach to manage hiring, onboarding, retention, and associate scheduling. The role focuses on delivering a best-in-class associate experience and driving store metrics.

You will partner with store leaders to ensure compliance, benefit enrollment, and payroll accuracy while maintaining data integrity and a positive culture. This hourly role includes a monthly bonus eligibility and requires flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Retail Leadership/HR Management experience.
• Experience hiring, training, and retention activities.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to move around store areas and lift at least 40 lbs.
• Proficiency with data reporting and basic analytics.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability to meet store objectives and key metrics.
• Fill open positions by recruiting, scheduling interviews, and completing hiring processes.
• Conduct engaging onboarding to prepare new hires for service, selling, and operations.
• Lead retention and engagement activities to foster a positive store culture.
• Maintain associate data integrity across company systems and files.
• Prepare effective schedules aligned with traffic and business needs; review timecards.
• Participate in weekly leadership planning and use talent data to guide actions.
• Provide guidance and support to the store team, handling associate concerns with confidentiality.
• Perform daily cash office duties, including deposits, change orders, and audits.
• Lead shrink control and asset protection compliance.
